Having sealed his return, Conor McGregor dropped his first words since the news of his UFC comeback came out, via Instagram post. He posted a picture of himself and praised god for the fortune. In the caption, Conor McGregor wrote, “Onwards and upwards, praise be to God.”
Conor McGregor is currently out of the UFC rankings. He has been inactive since UFC 264 and hasn’t won a fight since UFC 246. After knocking out Donald Cerrone in January 2020, ‘Notorious’ suffered back-to-back stoppage losses against Dustin Poirier in 2021.
While he was unseen in the entire 2022, 2023 will see the biggest UFC superstar return home. That said, Michael Chandler wouldn’t be an easy opponent to deal with. Despite winning just two fights in five UFC appearances, Chandler’s fighting abilities make him one of the most special athletes on the roster.

Meanwhile, Conor McGregor will relish some legitimate height and reach an advantage against Michael Chandler. The Irishman’s southpaw stance can also play a pivotal role in determining the outcome of the fight. Nevertheless, Chandler is a high-profile wrestler which can be his great armor to take down Conor McGregor.
